The first Edition of Exit 38 climbing guide (right) was released in 2001. The second edition of the climbing guide (left) was released in 2006.

Exit 38 is the most popular climbing areas near Seattle given it has over 27 separate climbing walls (over 250 routes),  getting to Exit 38 is easy, the routes are a short distance from the parking lots, it has scenic views of the valley, and it has some of the best routes in the state.

Exit 38 consists of 3 climbing areas; Mt Washington, Deception Crags, and Far Side.
