Key Highlights for Insurance Bill in India: Increased Consumer Safety & Scope of Investment

The Insurance Bill passed in March 2015 in both the houses is expected to have a deep impact on the Indian Insurance industry. Much anticipated and awaited, this amendment offered a bunch of benefits to both the Insurance Company and the policy holder. Increased power to regulatory bodies, more protection to policy holders and increased level of foreign investment in the sector are some of the key features of the Insurance Bill.

Listed here are some major highlights of the bill and how they can affect you:

Increased Foreign Investment: The new amendment allows up to 49% foreign investment in Indian Insurance companies from now onward. This increased capital flow is expected to revitalise the industry all together. The national players now will be able to invest in new products and expand their portfolio manifold.

What does this mean to you: how is this going to effect you as a policy holder? Well, at a glance it may seem of no significance at all, but increased foreign participation means, increased competition, wider product range and more professionalism. The increased competition in the market will also reduce malpractices such as miss-selling and misleading the policy holders. So, in long run this move can actually change the entire scenario of Indian Insurance market.

An Empowered IRDAI: This act goes a long way in strengthening the fist of IRDAI. This governing body will now onward be involved in the grass root level, such as appointing insurance agents and monitor their eligibility, capability and professionalism.

Also this governing body is now empowered to regulate the key areas of Insurance Companies such as expenses, investments, commissions payable to agents, code of conduct etc.

What does this mean to you: This enhanced power to IRDAI is sure to curtail many malpractices that are rampant today in Insurance market in India. So, as a policy holder your money will now be safer than before.

Consumer safety: Indian Insurance market was never as safe as it is now from consumers point of view. If you are worried about being misled by the insurance agent, then this act will give you peace of mind. In an effort to curtail the malpractices, the new amendment levies penalty ranging from INR 1 Crore to INR 25 Crore on any Insurance Company that indulges in mis-selling and misrepresentation.

What does this mean to you: In view of this high penalty, companies are likely to enforce stringent norms for their agent, which will in turn give you more protection as a consumer.

The Bill will also make the payment process easier for the nominees of any policy holder.

Another very significant amendment that the Bill brought is the shortening of repudiation time period for any policy. Repudiation time is the particular time period within which a policy can be declared null and void in light of wrong information furnished by the policy holder. The new bill has shortened this time to 3 years, to keep the consumer interest intact.

Health Insurance: Health insurance in India never quite received the status of a separate business vertical. But this Insurance Bill identified and addressed the problem. The amendment defines “Health Insurance Business” in full details and includes personal accidental coverage and accidental coverage while traveling in it.

What does this mean to you: This move will definitely forge a path for many robust insurance products related to health.

Empowered Industry Council: The two Insurance industry councils The Life Insurance Council and General Insurance Council are now given the status of self-regulatory bodies under this Act. Now, these two industry councils are entitled to frame bye-laws for their meeting and elections. Also the bodies can levy fees and collect them from its members.

What does this mean to you: Empowerment of these bodies has now opened up the ways of communication between the stakeholders of the industry.

Opening up the Reinsurance business front in India: The new amendments in the law have opened up the reinsurance segment quite broadly. With 49% foreign investment cap, the foreign investors can now insure a portion of the Insurance Company.

What does this mean to you: A re-insurer takes away a major risk factor from your insurance company. Re-insurance companies are generally more knowledgeable about international insurance practices. Thus opening up the re-insurance possibilities will bring in knowledge and expertise from the international players as well as make the insurance companies much more stable.

With all this key points, the Insurance Bill, 2015 was robust and actually could stand up to most of the expectations.

Storytelling: An Emotional Connection to Your Audience

Do you remember how engaged and fascinated you were as a child when someone read or told you a bedtime story, or while listening to your teacher narrate a parable in school? Just as sitting around a campfire listening to stories can transport an individual to a different world with imagination, education, emotion or a cultural connection, narratives can take consumers to a place of reconnecting to their human needs.

Storytelling, the art of conveying events through imagery, words or sounds gives you an opportunity to connect, share and interpret compelling experiences in a unique way. The application of telling a personal or relevant story in relation to your platform still delivers a distinctive message about your brand, while it engages your listeners.

Gone are the days of high-pressure selling or selling through intimidation, which induces stress when the customer really isn’t set on buying. This antiquated strategy is such a huge turnoff, and it makes this practice extremely ineffective. Consumers are savvier about their buying choices. They will walk away from a deal faster than you can blink an eye, especially if the product does not coincide with their lifestyle or is not cost-effective.

Marketers are discovering that when conveying their messages to consumers, storytelling is no longer done for entertainment purposes, but serves a greater purpose in marketing and sales strategies. Clients are looking for narratives that can illustrate how to add value to their lives and lifestyles, before making a purchasing decision. Influencing the decision of buyers, regardless of the industry, has to make good common sense and cannot smell of manipulative selling practices.

When examining many current advertisements, there are several elements included in their cultural landscape that potential consumers can relate to. Marketers are connecting to clients more intimately through emotional storytelling or commentaries. We don’t consciously detect how subliminal advertising stimulates our senses and thought process, but it is how consumers respond to products and services through our social connection that matters. Storytelling transforms the way an audience listens, retains and engages with the storyline.

What is the fundamental nature of your story? The law of relativity isn’t just applicable to the theory of gravitation and velocity in physics. It is a contextual variable that offers consumers the ability to relate to and purchase what you are offering, if it meets their needs through a genuine emotional connection.

Therapy: Can Therapists Form Inaccurate Beliefs About Men/Women?

If someone wanted to become a therapist, they may have the desire to work with people who have certain issues. This could relate to what they have had to deal with, or it might involve what they have seen other people suffer from.

When it comes to the former, this could show that one has worked through a number of mental and emotional problems. This could be a sign that their early years were a time when they didn’t receive the kind of care that they needed in order to develop in the right way.

The Catalyst

As a result of this, this would then have been what gave them the desire to assist others. Therefore, one would have been unwilling to allow what happened during this time to define them.

The pain they experienced could have been something that stayed with them forever and caused them to become a victim. But something within them had other ideas, and this is what has made the difference.

A Natural Affinity

Through having the kind of experiences they have had, it is then not going to be a surprise for them to want to assist others who have had the same experiences. There is also the chance that they want to work with children who are going through what they experienced.

This is then similar to what would happen if one was to work out how to get somewhere and they were then to share the route with other people. It could be said that this is due to human beings not only having the need to take, but also to give.

Another Reason

If their early years were not a time when they experienced a lot of pain, it could show that a family member suffered. Or, they might even have come into contact with other people whose early childhood was radically different to theirs.

Through being exposed to this, it would have made a strong impression on them, and this could then have been a time when they got in touch with their purpose for being here. To be of service to others in this way is going to be what gives them the desire to get the training they need to make a difference.

The Next Step

This could mean that they will end up going to university and getting some kind of degree. Once this is done, they could go to do even more training, and this whole process could take quite some time.

Nevertheless, if this is what one truly wants to do, they will be more than happy to go through this process. At the same time, one could simply end up taking a few courses and there will then be no reason for them to go to university.

The Goal

If one wanted to be a psychologist, it is going to be clear that they will need to go to university. There is going to be no way around this, and this is going to take a number of years.

On the other hand, if one wanted to become a behavioural therapist or a counsellor, for instance, this is not going to take as long. The same could be said if one was to train in a certain kind of therapy or healing technique.

A Number of Options

It could be said that one of the benefits of today’s world is that there are so many options, and this stop one from having to settle. So, through being aware of what they want to do, it will allow them to get the right training.

One take part in some kind of training and find that it is not what they expected, and they can then try something else. This could be seen as something that will cause them to waste time, but as long as they learn from what takes place, they will soon get to where they need to be.

Another Part

As part of their training they undertake, they may need to look into what baggage they are carrying, so to speak, and to deal with it. Through dealing with a lot of their own stuff, it will make it easier for them to assist others.

This is because if they don’t deal with anything and they try to be there for others, their own issues will get in the way. Instead of being able to see what is going on, one can end up projecting their own issues onto their clients.

Another Layer

There will then be what their client is going through and what one is seeing in them and this is going to make it harder than it needs to be. Someone could come and work with them and they could go away feeling even worse.

It could be as if they are unable to recognise what they are going through, and one could end up feeling invalidated. This shows why it is so important for someone to work through a lot of their stuff before they try to be there for others.

A Pattern

When one starts to see clients, they may find that more women than men come to see them about emotional problems. And, when it comes to the women who do see them, they could find that a lot of them have been abused by men.

What this could then do is cause one to believe that emotional problems are more common in women than men. Or, if a lot of these women have been abused, they could also believe that men are more abusive than women.

Stepping back

These experiences can then play a part in how they view men and women, and they could even pass this information onto other people. But while one can believe that this is the truth, it doesn’t mean that this is the case.

In a way, this would be the same as someone believing that everyone loves to swim just because they work at a swimming pool. Naturally, the people who don’t like to swim are not going to turn up at the swimming pool.

Therapy

When it comes to having therapy, this is often seen as a weakness, and this can then be why men rarely have it. Men are also less likely to talk about their feelings; whereas this is something that women often do.

Ergo, if a woman has emotional problems, there is going to be no reason for her not to work with a therapist. And, even if a man was abused, he would probably feel too shamed to reach out for support, and so it can be normal for a man to suffer in silence.

Awareness

What this shows is how important it is to acknowledge the fact that there is a difference when it comes to how each sex deals with problems and the effect society has on them. As although something might sound accurate, it doesn’t mean that this is actually the case.

The Many Benefits of Citizen Journalism

Citizen journalism is all about people collecting, reporting, analyzing and disseminating news and information especially on the social media.

This is not my definition, but that of Wikipedia.

As we all know, our world is now a global village. Therefore, we all are reporters or citizen journalists using online platforms to tell the entire world what is happening around us.

Trained journalists now rely on the social media and citizen reporters to get tips on what is happening around the world.

These tips are downloaded and then processed in accordance with the journalism ethics and then sold back to the same members of the public.

But, the truth is that hard copies of newspapers and magazines are not selling much these days. Online media platforms, blogs, forums, directories and the social media have taken over. This is good for humanity.

A citizen journalist can make a living from collecting and passing on of information, photos, tips and events for established newspapers, magazines, websites, blogs and forums for publication. This may or may be free.

But, the value of a citizen reporter helping to spread the news, good, bad or ugly will have impart on our world.

This is because lots and lots of people out there benefit one way or the other from the conventional or the social media.

These persons could be researchers, security experts, housewives, business people, bankers, journalists, lecturer, online marketers, motivational speakers, sportsmen and women, etc.

We all need the right information at any point in time to make informed opinion and decisions. And it is the media that will help us here.

Since trained journalists cannot be everywhere at the same time, the contributions of citizen reporters to informing, educating and entertaining members of the public becomes very handy.

But, the social media is not regulated for now. Therefore, some information posted on the social media are not processed. This is where our world leaders should come in.

Apart from the monetary benefits, citizen reporters will also experience a sense of fulfillment when they know that their contributions are helping to shape the world in order to make it a better place. This is immortal and goes beyond money.

I feel deep down that with time, the social media will fall in line and be able to regulate itself.

To a citizen reporter, there are many jobs out there for you and there are no limits to how much money you could make passing on tips, information and photos to established media outfits, websites, blogs and forums for possible publications.

Massage in Bucharest

Recognize it! You’re busy! And so must be! That’s what life is like! But you want more than that, you want to do more for yourself and massage can help. Because massage makes more than a simple relaxation of the mind and body. It keeps your body in shape and gives you enough energy to make you enjoy a longer life better than you do it today.

Massage releases stress. At the moment, stress is a universal evil. Every time you are late, every time you avoid a car in traffic, every time you have trouble working, stress is doing his job. Each time adrenaline increases heart rate and cortisone levels and organs respond to the measure. You will be in a state of nerves and constant agitation.
When there is no release of stress, serious problems such as an upset stomach, hypertension, sleep disturbances, chest pain, or existing illness may worsen.

Some of the changes that may occur are: Anxiety, lack of concentration, depression, permanent fatigue, muscle or bone pain, sexual dysfunction, excessive sleep or insomnia

All these stress-related problems can be diminished and some can be totally eliminated by massage. The researchers concluded that a massage session can lower heart rate and blood pressure, relax your muscles and increase endorphin production. The massage also releases serotonin and dopamine and the result is a general relaxation, both physical and mental.
Our body care must be at the top of the priorities.
By adding the massage to your routine you will look much better and you will be much healthier and relaxed. Massage can improve your vitality and mood. Massage can prepare for a long and beautiful life.

Our masseuses personalize each massage session according to the needs of the individual.
Our massage parlors offer a variety of relaxation styles and techniques to help you. Apart from relaxing, massage can be a powerful ally in reducing pain, increasing energy levels, improving mental and physical performance

We recommend : HotAngels , VipZone , JadePalace , ThaiPassion

After a massage session, you will see how the mental prospects are enriched, the body allows easier handling, better pressure resistance, relaxation and mental alertness, calm and creative thinking.
When you have the impression or force yourself to stay straight, your body is not actually aligned properly. Not only does the posture look bad, but it forces some of the muscles to go muddy all day, while others become weaker. After a long time, the incorrect position may cause other drops. For example, internal organs press on what affects digestion, breathing ability is also diminished, which means that much less blood and oxygen reaches the brain and hence all sorts of other complications.

Massage allows you to return your body to the track. Allowing the body to make healthy and accurate movements is one of the greatest benefits of massage. Massage can relax and restore muscles injured by bad posture, allowing the body to position itself in a natural, painless position.
Apart from posture, there is also anxiety. One of the signs of anxiety and stress can also be heavy breathing. When the body begins to breathe too little and deeply instead of breathing at a natural rithm, it is impossible for one to relax. One reason may also be that the chest muscles and the abdomen get tightened and the air gets harder.

Massage plays an important role in learning the body how to relax and how to improve breathing. Respiratory problems such as allergies, sinuses, asthma or bronchitis are a group of conditions that can benefit from massage. In fact, massage can have a positive impact on respiratory function.

Many of the muscles in the front and back of the upper part of the body are breathing accessory. When these muscles are tight and shorten they can block normal breathing and interrupt effective breathing natural rithm. Massage techniques for stretching and relaxing these muscles improves breathing function and breathability. Massage leads to an opening of the chest as well as structural alignment and nerve dilatation that are required for optimal pulmonary function. A good way to treat respiratory problems with massage is the taping made in Swedish massage. When done on the back, along with vibrations, it can detach the mucus from the lungs and can clean the airways for better later function.

Massage not only relaxes muscles, but helps people become aware of daily stress levels. Once the body recognizes what really means relaxation, the mind can rest easily relax before the stress becomes cornice and harmful. This will help you enjoy a balanced life. Massage controls breathing, allows the mind to re-create relaxation before the occurrence of chronic and harmful stress and increases the level of energy.
